Gerard J. DeMuro
Co-Chief Executive Officer
Jerry currently serves a Co-CEO of Eve Air Mobility Systems. Through his prior roles he brings extensive experience in transforming businesses into global, Tier-1 enterprises by effectively developing new products/services, expanding into adjacent markets and scaling operational processes. Mr. DeMuro previously served as President and CEO of BAE Systems, Inc., where he was responsible for the leadership and governance of one of the largest U.S. aerospace and defense contractors with significant presence in the United States and markets around the world. He served as an Executive Director of the independent BAE Systems, Inc. Board of Directors and in this unique role also served as a member of the plc Board of Directors. Prior to BAE, Jerry held the position of Executive Vice President and Corporate Vice President at General Dynamics, where he directed strategic development and operational performance of the $11.7 billion Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) Group, leading 44,000 employees with 6,000 open contracts providing products and services to defense and commercial customers worldwide. He joined GD as President, C4 Systems after General Dynamics acquired GTE Government Systems. Jerry received his MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and his B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh.
André Duarte Stein
Co-Chief Executive Officer
Stein has 25 years of experience in aerospace. He is a co-founder of EmbraerX, Embraer's market accelerator, and he has been the leader of Embraer's Urban Air Mobility initiative since its inception and EmbraerX's Head of Strategy. Before assuming his role at EmbraerX he led Embraer's Commercial Aviation Product and Market Strategy he was responsible for the E175+ product definition and go-to-market strategy, raising Embraer market share in the US regional aircraft market from less than 50% to over 80%, and for new E-Jets E2 family of commercial jets, from the very first business case to its first aircraft delivery, winning multiple international awards. He also sponsored Embraer first R&D initiatives in Electric and Autonomous Aviation.
Previously Stein led Embraer strategic marketing efforts in Asia Pacific that resulted in Embraer first commercial and executive jets sales in the region and restructure Embraer commercial aircraft sales in Latin America bringing Embraer from almost no participation to the absolute market leadership in the region.
Stein hails from the Kellogg School of Management and is a Mechanical Engineer from Unicamp. He is an avid traveler who is passionate about mobility and has accumulate multicultural experience from living and working in Australia, Singapore, Silicon Valley and Brazil.
Chief Financial Officer
Eduardo has been at Embraer for seven years leading key finance areas including Treasury, Insurance, Cash Management, Investor Relations, M&A and Sales Finance globally. Prior to that he worked as research analyst at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs for more than seven years covering Latin American Transportation and Infrastructure companies. Eduardo was also a Portfolio Manager at Santander Asset Management for four years. Mr. Couto earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering from the Aeronautical Institute of Technology (ITA) and is also holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation (CFA).
Director of Investor Relations
Lucio joined Eve as a Director of Investor Relations after c.12 years of experience leading Equity Research teams in Latin America, for such firms as Citigroup and Goldman Sachs. Lucio has consistently ranked among the top regional analysts for both stock picking and precision of earnings estimates by Thomson Reuters since 2015. Lucio started his career as a Sell-Side analyst at Banco Pactual in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He then joined Fundação Cesp (Brazil’s fifth-largest pension fund at the time), to help manage the fund’s equity portfolios. In 2004, he moved to HSBC Investment Bank to support the bank’s equity and credit funds. And, most recently, he was a Portfolio Manager at Aqua Wealth Management, a multi-family office. Lucio earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro - with an Economics major, and his MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School with a Finance focus.
VP Program Management
Alice is an experienced leader and manager of complex aeronautical programs and projects. With more than 20 years in the aviation industry, Alice contributed to the development of the Embraer Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 executive jets and led the development of the E195-E2 aircraft as well as the E2 jets, which she managed from business plan through to delivery to its first customer. In addition to leading aircraft development programs, Alice implemented and led the Commercial Aviation Program Management Office at Embraer. Alice is a certified Program Management Professional (PMP), coach and mother who holds a degree in Business Administration from State University of Santa Maria and a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from FGV / SP.
VP Business Development
David is highly experienced in leading cross-cultural teams in emerging markets. His commercial acumen, coupled with his experience leading business development for EmbraerX, enables him to build value quickly. David's 18+ years as a commercial fixed wing and helicopter pilot brings practical experience to Eve's partnerships and engagements. He holds an M.A. from the University of Connecticut and an M.I.B from The Fletcher School, Tufts University.
VP User Experience
Flavia Ciaccia has over 15 years of experience in managing international and multicultural projects. She leads research that focuses on human-centered design and user experience. She believes it is essential to rethink urban mobility and bring consumer insights into the development of solutions that improve people's lives. Flavia holds a Ph.D. in production engineering from University of São Paulo and a postgraduate degree in Strategic Innovation Management from FIA.
Flávia Maffei Pavie
General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer
Flávia Pavie is a lawyer with over 20 years of experience in legal departments of multinational companies in the aviation and IT sectors and law firms of great significance in Brazil. She has been working for Embraer for more than 11 years coordinating several legal matters, with focus on contracts, IP, corporate and compliance areas. In the past 4 years she worked as Contracts and Proposals Manager in the Defense & Security Business Unit of Embraer and was responsible for sales structures; elaboration and negotiation of Embraer's commercial information, proposals, purchase and leasing agreements for the sale/lease of military aircraft and defense & security solutions, especially C-390 Millennium aircraft, for public and private clients. Flávia holds an LL.M. from New York University, an MBA from Insper and is admitted to practice law in the States of New York and São Paulo.
Head of Employee Journey
Luana Campos has worked at Embraer for 10 years in Human Resources, supporting Business Units as People Partner and taking part of important HR projects and programs on the employee journey and experience. Prior to Embraer, she has worked for 5 years at Colgate Palmolive. Luana has an MBA on People Management Strategies from FIA (Administration Foundation Institute), MBA on Human Potential Development from Franklin Covey University, postgraduate degree in Groups Facilitating from the Brazilian Society of Groups Dinamics, postgraduate degree in Human Resources Management from FGV and college degree in Business Administration from University of São Paulo.
VP Services & Fleet Operation
Luiz Mauad has more than 15 years of experience in providing aftermarket services and customer support for the aviation industry. Recently, he was responsible for Aftermarket Strategy at Embraer, a role that was accountable for market intelligence, new business and marketing for the commercial, executive and defense markets. He holds an Executive MBA in Business Management from INPG Business School and a B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering from UNIFEI.
Luiz Valentini leads the development of the electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicle. An expert in aerodynamics and flight mechanics, he has worked on numerous Embraer airplane designs. Valentini believes in strengthening teams by promoting ownership, creativity and innovation. He holds an M.S. and a B.S. in aeronautical & aerospace engineering from Purdue University.
