Management Team

Johann Bordais was appointed CEO of Eve Air Mobility effective September 1, 2023. Previously, he led Embraer's Services & Support business since its foundation in 2016. He was pivotal in transforming the unit into Embraer's fastest-growing and most profitable business unit.

During his tenure at Embraer Services & Support, Bordais transformed Embraer's aftersales business model, globalizing its solutions and guaranteeing customer satisfaction through innovation and integrated products, and providing a broad portfolio of solutions to customers in Commercial Aviation, Executive Jets and Defense, with more than 2,300 people dedicated to supporting customers and their more than 5,700 aircraft worldwide. From 2018 to August 2023, Johann was also the president of the board of directors for OGMA in Portugal, a company that provides agnostic maintenance, repair and overhaul services for civil and military airplanes and engines.

Prior to leading Embraer's Services & Support business, Johann was responsible for Customer Relationship Management, Technical & Maintenance Support, Materials, Flight Operations, Flight Operations Engineering & Support, Technical Services & Training, and Solutions Business Development & Analytics. Additionally, he oversaw the Customer Care Center in São José dos Campos and Embraer’s global network of Authorized Aircraft Service Centers.

For 13 years, he was responsible for Embraer’s Services & Support office in Paris, managing after-sales and operations for commercial aircraft customers in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia. Prior to his move to Europe, Johann was the Senior Manager for Aircraft Sales Support & Contract Administration and Manager of the Customer Order Desk.

Before joining Embraer, Johann worked at Raytheon/Beechcraft’s Authorized MRO facility in Paris and at an aircraft engine spare parts company in Dallas, TX in the U.S.

Eduardo has been at Embraer for seven years leading key finance areas including Treasury, Insurance, Cash Management, Investor Relations, M&A and Sales Finance globally. Prior to that he worked as research analyst at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs for more than seven years covering Latin American Transportation and Infrastructure companies. Eduardo was also a Portfolio Manager at Santander Asset Management for four years. Mr. Couto earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering from the Aeronautical Institute of Technology (ITA) and is also holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation (CFA).

Lucio joined Eve as a Director of Investor Relations after c.12 years of experience leading Equity Research teams in Latin America, for such firms as Citigroup and Goldman Sachs. Lucio has consistently ranked among the top regional analysts for both stock picking and precision of earnings estimates by Thomson Reuters since 2015.  Lucio started his career as a Sell-Side analyst at Banco Pactual in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  He then joined Fundação Cesp (Brazil’s fifth-largest pension fund at the time), to help manage the fund’s equity portfolios. In 2004, he moved to HSBC Investment Bank to support the bank’s equity and credit funds.  And, most recently, he was a Portfolio Manager at Aqua Wealth Management, a multi-family office.  Lucio earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro - with an Economics major, and his MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School with a Finance focus.

Alice is an experienced leader and manager of complex aeronautical programs and projects. With more than 20 years in the aviation industry, Alice contributed to the development of the Embraer Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 executive jets and led the development of the E195-E2 aircraft as well as the E2 jets, which she managed from business plan through to delivery to its first customer. In addition to leading aircraft development programs, Alice implemented and led the Commercial Aviation Program Management Office at Embraer. Alice is a certified Program Management Professional (PMP), coach and mother who holds a degree in Business Administration from State University of Santa Maria and a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from FGV / SP.

Antonio Carmesini joined Eve Air Mobility as Vice President of Industrialization in February 2023. With more than 27 years of experience in the aviation industry, he previously served as Chairman and General Director of Embraer Portugal. Earlier, he spent eight years as the Director of Manufacturing Engineering at Embraer. He is recognized as a strategic leader with diverse experience overseeing production operations and also for driving innovation to increase efficiency and product quality. Carmesini holds a B.A degree in Naval Engineering from Escola Politecnica from São Paulo University.

David is highly experienced in leading cross-cultural teams in emerging markets. His commercial acumen, coupled with his experience leading business development for EmbraerX, enables him to build value quickly. David's 18+ years as a commercial fixed wing and helicopter pilot brings practical experience to Eve's partnerships and engagements. He holds an M.A. from the University of Connecticut and an M.I.B from The Fletcher School, Tufts University.

Larissa is currently Vice President of Employee Journey at Eve Air Mobility. With a background in Business Intelligence, she quickly discovered her passion for working with people and transitioned to a career in HR. 

She holds a degree in Business Administration from PUC-SP, along with a specialization in Human Resources Management from FGV, a certification in Business and People Management from INSPER, and currently pursuing an MBA in Business Communication at FGV. Throughout her career, Larissa has gained valuable experience at companies including IBM, Riachuelo, Suzano Pulp and Paper, and Embraer. Working in diverse industries, she has come to realize that everything starts with people. Driven by her commitment to helping people and organizations thrive, her professional journey has taken her on projects both in Brazil and abroad providing her with invaluable learnings. Her passion for her profession fuels her personal mission of helping individuals unlock their full potential.

Luiz Mauad has more than 15 years of experience in providing aftermarket services and customer support for the aviation industry. Recently, he was responsible for Aftermarket Strategy at Embraer, a role that was accountable  for market intelligence, new business and marketing for the commercial, executive and defense markets. He holds an Executive MBA in Business Management from INPG Business School and a B.Sc  in Mechanical Engineering from UNIFEI.

Luiz Valentini leads the development of the electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicle. An expert in aerodynamics and flight mechanics, he has worked on numerous Embraer airplane designs. Valentini believes in strengthening teams by promoting ownership, creativity and innovation. He holds an M.S. and a B.S. in aeronautical & aerospace engineering from Purdue University.

Simone Oliveira joined the company as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer on September 1^st, 2023. She is an experienced lawyer with a generalist background. She started her career as an in-house counsel at DuPont nearly twenty years ago advising the different business areas and corporate functions of the company. Later, she joined LANXESS, another chemical company, being responsible for managing all the civil and corporate matters as well as participating in different M&A deals. Before joining Eve, she was the Legal Vice President for Latam of Gympass, being responsible for all the legal matters of the company in Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Argentina. Simone obtained her Law degree at the Universidade de São Paulo (USP) and her LL.M Degree at University of Virginia, USA.
